...from K.D. Lang–as opposed to k.d. lang–that less than one year after the dee-voon Emily Blunt's tall man-friend John Krasinki (The Office, It's Complicated, Brief Interviews With Hideous Men) spent $1,857,000 on a walled, gated and perfectly private house high above Los Angeles' legendary Chateau Marmont Hotel, he's flipped it back on the market with an asking price of $2,200,000.
Listing information from the time Mister Krasinski purchased the property shows the residence, located down a long, hedge-lined driveway, measures a modest by celebrity standards 2,640 square feet and includes 3 bedrooms and 4 poopers including a master suite that has a fireplace, city views and an adjacent home gym.
Mister Krasinski–and, we presume, Miss Blunt–beds down in famous company with nearby neighbors that include Cameron Diaz and late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. Texas-based and Oscar nominated actress Sandra Bullock owns a house on the same street that we hear from someone in the position to know is occupied by her sister, and before British comedian Russell Brand and girl smooching poppette Katy Perry moved to Los Feliz the ratty haired funny man leased a house a few doors up from Miss Diaz.
Your Mama has yet to located an online listed for the property nor have we heard back from any of our many informants we queried on the matter but according to K.D. Lang, the listing is being tweeted about on the Twitter. None the less, children, this ain't nuthin' but rumor and gossip at this point, rumor and gossip and it should be treated as such.
What is not rumor and gossip is that according to the wise-peeps at Redfin, Mister Krasinski spent $921,500 on a 1,279 square foot house in the Norma Triangle are of West Hollywood in March of 2005. A few months later he flipped the 3 bedroom and 3 pooper beehawtcha back on the market where it languished for nearly 6 months before being de-listed. In September of 2009, Mister Krasinski re-listed the walled and gated Country English cottage with an asking price of $1,245,000. But Mister Krasinski–bless his fickle real estate heart–had the property de-listed again just two and a half months later. Property records do not reflect a transfer of ownership meaning that Mister Krasinski continues to own, pay for and maintain this home as well as his current residence in the hills.
UPDATE: It is indeed "quietly" listed with an ask of $2,195,000.
